The Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning (ICDL) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to redefining and promoting each child’s development to their fullest potential.  Through the genius and leadership of Dr. Stanley Greenspan, ICDL has led the interdisciplinary movement to implement a revolutionary approach to understanding and improving a child’s development.  This Developmental, Individual-differences, and Relationship-based approach known as DIR® has become the foundation for understanding child development and providing intervention that helps every child reach his or her fullest potential. DIRFloortime® (also known as Floortime®) uses the DIR® foundation to provide an intervention for children with autism and other mental health and developmental disabilities that has been shown through research and practice to be very effective.  This professional body provides lectures and training in the DIR approach and has a list of professionals who are a part of this network.

The SPD Foundation is the world leader in research, education, and awareness for Sensory Processing Disorder, a neurological condition that disrupts the daily lives of more than 4 million Americans.  The SPD Foundation provides hope and help to individuals and families living with SPD.

The Spiral Foundation stands for the ‘Sensory Processing Institute for Research and Learning Foundation’.  It is a not-for-profit research and education organisation that specialises in helping families, children and adults with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and related diagnoses lead more productive and enjoyable lives.  It does this through advancing knowledge of sensory integration theory, assessment and intervention for SPD.

The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) team envisions a society in which every individual possesses the academic, social and emotional skills needed to succeed in school, at work and in life.

Amaze is a member-based not-for-profit organisation and is the peak body for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the state of Victoria. Amaze represents around 55,000 Victorians who have ASD.  It works for the benefit of all individuals and their families and promotes better understanding of ASD in the general community.

The Cooperative Research Centre for Living with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Autism CRC) is the world’s first national, cooperative research effort focused on autism.  They take a “whole-of-life” approach to autism focusing on diagnosis, education and adult life.

The Raising Children Network has been created by a partnership of member organisations of Australia’s leading early childhood agencies.  The Raising Children website is produced with the help of an extensive network including the Australian Government.  On the website, parents will find reliable and scientifically validated information and resources to support them in the day-to-day work of raising children and looking after their own needs.

The Telethon Kids Institute brings together community, researchers, practitioners, policy makers and funders, who share our vision to improve the health and wellbeing of children through excellence in research.

ZERO TO THREE is a national not-for-profit organisation that provides parents, professionals and policymakers with the knowledge and know-how to nurture early development.
